Windward Tree Co. serves all six towns on Martha’s Vineyard plus Chappaquiddick: pruning and care, disease treatment, vista pruning and hazardous removal. Every job is run by a certified arborist, fully insured, and estimated on site rather than over the phone.
Windward Tree Co. is a Martha’s Vineyard tree company run by a certified arborist. Every crew that turns up is carrying general liability and workers’ compensation cover we will show you before we start.
The name is the job. Windward is the side facing the weather, the side that takes the nor’easter first. On an island where the demand for tree work is driven by storms, that is where the company stands: between the house and the wind.
Nothing here is priced from a description. A certified arborist comes out, looks at the tree, and writes the estimate from what is standing there. It is also why we will tell you when a tree can stay.

Windward is built around one certified arborist and the crew trained under them. The standard every job is cut to is set here, the work is reviewed before an invoice goes out, and on most of the difficult removals our lead arborist is on the rope.
What that buys you is judgement rather than a price list. Pitch pine and black oak on this island mostly fail at the root plate, after a wet week and a hard nor'easter, not in the canopy. Reading that correctly is local knowledge, and it does not transfer off a mainland crew.

A qualified arborist from our own crew walks the site, looks at the tree, and writes the estimate from what is actually there. Nothing is priced from a description or a photograph.
