Edgartown splits into three very different jobs. The village is tight access, historic oversight and mature street trees that have outgrown their space. Katama is pitch pine on sand, which fails at the root plate rather than in the crown. Chappaquiddick is everything else plus a ferry, which we build into the estimate as time rather than as a surcharge invented afterwards.
What fails in Edgartown
- Black oak declining from the top down across the older in-town lots
- Pitch pine on the Katama plains failing at the root plate after a wet spring
- Street and dooryard trees in the historic district that have never had a structural prune
- Salt-burnt cedar and cypress along the harbour edge
Edgartown has a historic district commission with a say over work visible from the street in the village core, and a conservation commission that regulates anything within 100 feet of a wetland resource area or on a coastal bank. Chappaquiddick adds the ferry and, on many parcels, a conservation restriction. We check all of it before quoting.
What we do in Edgartown

What this involvesHazardous Removal
We remove trees that cannot safely stay — over houses, across power drops, on lifted root plates, and after storms. Nothing is felled; the tree comes…
What this involvesVista Pruning
We open water views by selective pruning rather than topping — windowing and limb removal in the sightline, so the woods still look like woods and…
